FAQS
+ HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO COME SEE YOU?
Initially, I suggest clients come weekly. Depending on what your goals are, we can revisit this after a few sessions and determine what frequency is best for you.

MA: Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Regis University)
NCC: National Certified Counselor Certification
BS: Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication (University of Colorado)

+ DO YOU OFFER TELEHEALTH SESSIONS?
Yes. I offer both telehealth and in-person therapy.
+ WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Starting therapy with someone you don’t know can be a little nerve-wracking. Here is a good idea of what you can expect when you come to see me: The first session is a time for me to find out more about you and what brought you to therapy. I will ask you some questions and encourage you to share whatever it is you would like me to know. At the end of the session, we will check in about how things went and whether you’d like to schedule another session.
+ ARE YOU GOING TO DIAGNOSE ME OR PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?
If you are submitting claims to your insurance company for reimbursement, I have to include a diagnosis in order for insurance to cover your session. However, while working together in session, regardless of whether you are using insurance, my focus is more on the concerns you share in our session and less on diagnosing.
I am not licensed to prescribe medication but am happy to help refer you to someone who does if you’d like to explore that option.
