about
Hi. I Am Amy
Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, LPCC, NCC
I believe that we all deserve a place to come as we are, with the full weight of our struggles, conflicts, and grief. There is no one-size-fits-all model for counseling. Every person is unique and deserves a crafted approach that fits their individual needs and personality. One of the key components of effective therapy is ensuring the relationship between client and therapist feels right. We will work collaboratively to identify concerns in your life causing distress and to evaluate effective strategies to move you forward. Our sessions will be tailored to you.
My practice is informed by evidence-based techniques including neuroscience to help you understand the responses of your nervous system and calm your anxiety, Emotionally Focused Therapy to repair attachment wounding and explore family-of-origin experiences, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Trauma-focused modalities.
I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University and my Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Colorado. I continue to invest in opportunities for professional growth and regularly participate in consultation, continuing education, and training opportunities.
